This is one of the classic “sharp” questions I often get in meetings with potential new clients.
And rightfully so.The issue is in many ways an obvious approach when a company wants to identify whether I as a headhunter can demonstrate the required knowledge and network within their industry. Therefore, it is natural for a buyer of recruitment services to try to estimate if the headhunter will be able to deliver the right candidates for the open position you are trying to fill and to what extent the headhunter knows the relevant sector / industry / businesses in depth – including having filled many positions in the past.
