|The International Federation of Psoriasis Associations, IFPA, seeked a new Executive Director (CEO) to the IFPA Secretariat based in Alvik, Stockholm, Sweden, for prompt addition to the IFPA team. As Executive Director, the emphasis is on ensuring that IFPA’s activities are consistent with the organization’s overall global vision, mission and objectives, and with the mission assigned to the Secretariat by IFPA’ Board. The assignment addressed planning, monitoring and reporting of both the daily and more strategic activities of the Secretariat.|
IFPA is a global federation of 61 national and regional psoriasis patient associations. 1.5-2.5% of all people are believed to live with psoriatic disease all over the world, and it is a disease that can have a significant impact on both the individual and on society. IFPA is a democratic organization governed by the General Assembly of its member associations, and its operations are monitored by an elected Board made of seven representatives from national member associations. IFPA holds Special Consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and actively advocates for the global psoriasis community within the WHO system and towards its member states.
