Maria is experienced business leader who has worked 30 years in different Nordic organisations. In her long-term position as the country manager of one of world’s largest insurance companies, Maria saw the importance of different roles and functions for the success of the company.

She has solid experience in strategy work, transformations, relationship management, growth strategies, multi-channel marketing of products, building services business (b2b2c, b2c and b2b), creating partnership models, building winning teams.

She has a long experience in recruiting for several different roles and functions at Finnish and Nordic levels. She has worked with various branches such as finance, insurance, technology, retail, FMCG industry, energy, real-estate, consulting. She further strengthens the customer perspective of the Birn team and the deep understanding of the customer needs.

She is board Advisor for a start-up company and is mentoring young leaders.

Maria’s curious mindset and attitude of continuous learning keeps her agile. She follows market trends and thinks outside the box to find best solutions for the customer. Maria believes that employer branding, positive applicant experience and the compatibility of company culture and employees is more important than ever.
